Yawn.

It's been a while since I drew an animal. I've done a badass mammal (gaur), a badass fish (white shark) and a badass bird (goshawk), so I figured a badass reptile was next ... and reptiles don't come any more badass than Macrochelys temminckii ... the alligator snapping turtle.

This is undoubtedly the toughest thing I've drawn so far in terms of the sheer detail and getting all the different greys and contrasts was a struggle. I hope it's turned out OK.
